TERMS & RESPONSIBLE PLAY

Plain English, no clause farm. These are pre-launch terms for a free game with nothing at stakefull staked-play terms will replace them, and you will be asked to accept those, before a single table opens.

THE WHOLE THING IN FIVE LINES

The game is free, and today there is nothing to win and nothing to lose. No funds move before launch and no page here can touch your wallet. When staked play opens it is 18+ and blocked where it is not lawful. The token has not launched, and nothing here is investment advice. We can break things, reset things and change these terms while the game is pre-launch.

01What HORDE is today

HORDE is a browser game at survivethehorde.com/play. Today it is free entertainment: there is no wager, no entry fee, no prize, no payout and no token.

Where the site or the game shows staking, tiers, pots or payouts, you are looking at a preview of a planned feature. Those screens move no funds. Using this site does not create an account, a balance or an entitlement to anything.

02Who may use it

Free play

  • Anyone who may lawfully use a website where they live. If you are under the age of majority, use it with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
  • No account, no personal data required, no wallet required.

Staked play, when it opens

  • 18 or overor older where local law sets a higher age for real-money skill gaming.
  • Not available where wagering or real-money skill gaming is prohibited, or where it requires a licence we do not hold.
  • Not available to anyone barred from such play, or subject to applicable sanctions.
  • We may geo-block, may require age or identity verification, and may decline or reverse participation from a restricted region.
We would rather block a region than run an unlicensed table in it. That will remain the position.

03Funds, wallets and what we cannot do

  • Nothing moves before launch. No funds are held, custodied, escrowed or transferred by this site today.
  • Connecting a wallet reads your public address so a run can carry a name. That is the whole of it.
  • A signature request from the game signs a plain-text message. It is never a transfer authorisation, and the game never asks for one.
  • We will never ask for your private key or seed phrase. Nobody legitimate ever will.
  • We cannot access your wallet, cannot move your funds, and cannot reverse a transaction you sign anywhere else. Your keys and your device security are yours alone.
  • Only addresses published on this site are ours. Treat anything else, in a DM, a comment, a lookalike domain, as an attempt to rob you.

04The $HORDE token

The token has not launched. When it does, the official mint address will be published on this site.

Nothing on this site is an offer, a solicitation, financial or investment advice, or a promise of value, yield or return. Tokens are volatile and can lose all of their value. Do not buy one with money you need. Any figure shown in an interface preview is an illustration of a mechanism, not a projection of an outcome.

05Fair play

Prohibited, in free play and in staked play alike.

  • Automated play: bots, macros, input scripts, or anything that plays for you.
  • Modifying the client, its memory or its network traffic, or submitting fabricated results.
  • Exploiting a bug for advantage instead of reporting it.
  • Using multiple identities or wallets to farm a ladder, a bounty or a prize.
  • Colluding with another player to fix the outcome of a match.
  • Interfering with the service or with other players, attacks, scraping at abusive rates, impersonating HORDE.

Breaking these voids the runs involved and forfeits any ladder placement. Once staked play exists, it voids staked results and any associated payout. Report a bug rather than farming it, we would much rather owe you thanks.

06The ladder

Today’s ladder is free, cosmetic and unverified: scores are reported by your own browser and are not re-simulated by us. Details are on the verify page.

A ladder position is not a prize and confers no entitlement. We may reset, prune, correct or remove entries at any time, including for suspected fabrication, and we are not obliged to explain a decision about a specific entry while the board carries nothing of value.

07Prizes and payouts, when they exist

Not live. When staked modes open, these are the terms we intend to publish and be held to:

  • 95% of every pot to the winner; a 5% rake split 2% to stakers, 2% to treasury, 1% burned.
  • Payouts only after a run is verified by server-side re-simulation.
  • Payouts from a published wallet, with each payout traceable to its transaction.
  • The rules of each mode, including the disconnect rule, published before that mode opens.
  • Full staked-play terms, replacing this document, presented for acceptance before your first staked table.

08Disputes

Today there is nothing to dispute financially, because nothing is at stake. For anything else, a bug, a lost run, a ladder entry, write to the contact below with the seed, roughly when it happened, and what you saw.

The process we intend to adopt for staked play, stated here so it can be argued with early rather than late:

  • Raise a dispute within 72 hours of the match.
  • Both runs are re-simulated from their seed and input logs.
  • The re-simulation result is published to the parties, with the reasoning.
  • That result decides the in-game outcome and the payout, and our decision on the in-game outcome is final.
  • None of this removes rights you have under the law where you live.
Proposed policy, not yet in force, it cannot be, because re-simulation is not live.

09Availability, changes, no warranty and liability

Pre-launch software. Expect breakage, resets, wipes, changed rules and downtime. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site or game at any time, and we may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the version line at the top of this page.

No warranty. The site and game are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profits, lost tokens or lost data arising from your use of the site or the game. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Your side of it. You are responsible for complying with the law where you live, and for any tax arising from anything you win if and when winning becomes possible.

10Responsible play

A game of skill is still a way to lose money. Read this before staked play exists, not after.

  • Never stake more than you can lose entirely. Skill lowers variance; it does not remove it, and someone better than you is always awake somewhere.
  • Do not chase a loss. The next seed is a new night, not a refund.
  • Take breaks. A run is fifteen minutes; so is the one after it. Set a limit on time as well as on money, before you start rather than during.
  • Do not play to fix a financial problemand do not play with borrowed money.
  • If it stops being fun, stop. Irritation, secrecy about how much you have staked, or playing to feel even are the signals worth acting on.

If you think you may have a problem

Help exists and it is free. In the United Kingdom, GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline (gamcare.org.uk). In the United States, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-522-4700run by the National Council on Problem Gambling (ncpgambling.org). Elsewhere, look up your national service, most countries have one, and most of them are 24 hours.

We are not affiliated with these organisations and gain nothing from listing them. Before staked play opens we will provide a self-exclusion request route; if you want to be excluded in advance, write to us and we will honour it when the feature exists.

11Intellectual property

The HORDE name, the artwork, the game and the site belong to their creators. Press and media may use the assets on the press page under the conditions stated there. Do not clone the client to run a competing wagering service, and do not use the name or artwork in a way that suggests we endorse, run or vouch for something we do not.

12Contact and legal entity

PLACEHOLDER, AND SAYING SO IS THE POINT

Contact: contact@survivethehorde.coma placeholder address staged for launch.

No operating company, jurisdiction or governing law is asserted by this document, because none has been established for the product yet. The operating entity, its jurisdiction, the governing law of these terms and a working contact route will all be named on this page before any staked table opensand none of them will be invented in the meantime. If you are reading this line while a staked table is open, that is a defect, do not stake, and tell us.
